Fear Not: I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day, in the City of David, a saviour, Christ the Lord
Luke 2 v 10 & 11
Why is this news good?
Do we really need need a saviour?
What is 'a Christ' and why would we want one?
For over 2000 years vast numbers of people have enthusiastically celebrated the birth of Jesus.
Today over 2 billion people around the world claim Him to be their king, the Christ and their personal saviour.
Yes, we need saving- our broken world cries out for change, but human history has shown us incapable of sorting things out ourselves.
War, sickness, pain, poverty, greed and cruelty are all symptoms of our broken relationship with the God who created us, but there is good news; an appointed one (a Christ), was sent to save us when we couldn't save ourselves, he is God's son who would live among us (Immanuel) and this is the day we celebrate his birth.
Join us at
10:30am on the 25th December as we celebrate. We’ll sing some traditional carols and hear more about Jesus; Immanuel, Christ and Saviour.
